Dream Wild Films

Dream Wild Films is an independent production company based in Austria,

co-founded by award-winning filmmakers Yaz Ellis and Jack Mifflin. They specialise in creating innovative films focused on how wildlife is challenged by human impact and sometimes can even adapt to our increasingly urban planet. 

What we do

Our work on natural history documentaries for broadcast television spans from development to shooting and post-production. After filming across Los Angeles for three months in 2025, we are currently in post-production for ORF Universum's 'Wild Hollywood'. 

We specialise in creating short wildlife films that reveal fascinating secrets of Austrian wildlife, and have won multiple awards including Jackson Wild, United Nations’ World Wildlife Day, National Geographic’s Wild Pitch,  Green Screen and Innsbruck Nature Film Festival. Our latest short film 'For Deer Life' will be available to watch soon!

Hi! We are Yaz and Jack, award-winning wildlife filmmakers and cinematographers, based in Vienna, Austria. We founded Dream Wild Films in order to create impactful and important wildlife films, focusing on the human effects on species that are often overlooked on our planet.
